Monazite Petrochronology Study
In this section, introduce how monazite is applied to various orogens or other systems to solve geologic problems.
May add background & motivation description
- whether Y zonations are indicative
- whether high Y rim always indicate retrograde metamorphism, etc.
- Regarding Damara, no direct dating of deformation or metamorphism - many work focus on timing of magmatism. Monazite work, they did not reveal chemical zonations (or not reveal zonations by X-ray maps, but just by BSE).
- That's why our work is important.
